are Kate and Ron Thornton and have
been involved with cats and dogs and most other animals for our life
since moving here to New Zealand in 2007 have established Kates Kats
more discerning cat owners.
Now we have recently opened K9 Kare for those dogs whose owners are looking for a better experience.
We are situated on a small farm in Waikaka, just 15 minutes drive from the SH1.
we are small, we can give your
cats and dogs that extra individual care and attention they deserve,
bond that makes their stay a happy and relaxed one.
We cater for large and small dogs and have a limited number of places for your little ones in our own home.
new Kennels have been carefully
designed to ensure your dog’s comfort and hygiene are a priority.
The Kennels are well insulated and placed around a covered central court yard with views of the duck pond.
Each room has an enclosed raised bedroom with cosy bedding and will have thermostatically controlled heating for those colder times.
welcome rawhide or beef bone helps
your dog to settle in.
Outside there is a grass paddock and paddling pool for short walks and large individual exercise pens which have anti dig and anti roll over fencing so your dog is kept safe and have unlimited use for plenty of fresh air and amusement.
|We do let dogs play together when we are sure that it is safe to do so with owners permission.|
|Dogs are exercised out on leads most early mornings for 3kms when weather permitting.|
cattery is bright and airy with
rooms inside and out.
there are high and low board
walks around a sunny courtyard for sleep and exercise.
